Random Adventure!!!

November 29, 2007

So the other day, I was going kind of crazy. The cause of my crazyness was Santa Clarita. There’s just not much to do out here, and since I just filled my car up with a full tank of gas, I knew it would be appropriate for a random adventure.

So I called my friend Erin who I knew would be down for a random adventure to Hollywood (despite her urge to not do much in the winter) and off we went. We ended up missing the exit for Hollywood and ended up in Beverly Hills. But that was Erin’s fault because she’s the navigator. I just drive. We decided to go for a walk through the very wealthy neighborhoods and pretended we were freainkin’ rich! After that fantasay, we drove and ended up in Santa Monica. We hung out on 3rd street for a while and then hung out at the pier where we had AMAZING ice cream.

Despite the fact that our mission was to go to Hollywood, it was still a pretty fun day.

Highlights of…

November 14, 2007

So, I wrote out my day about Saturday already. But I forgot to share one of my highlights out of the day. I take pride in parking. I don’t know why, but it means a lot to me. When I went to Kimmy’s party, Javi’s car and nikkis car had some space between them. So I went for it. I’m not going to lie. I had help from Timmy. But I’m still proud nonetheless.

Life at it’s finest

November 13, 2007

I went on a little nature walk today. It was really nice. I met up with Travis this morning and he told me he had the urge to go on a nature walk. So we called a bunch of people and we did just that. We went to a park in Placerita.

We stopped at this little picnic area. The guys started seeing who could throw huge peices of wood the farthest. I’m not going to lie, I participated a little. It was funny to me because it’s what we all did as little kids. Now we’re in college, and the only difference is the rocks and branches we throw are a lot bigger.

We went to In-and-Out after and a very rare event happened. Mark and I were just joking around and we started laughing intensely. Just when I was about to stop laughing at the joke, Mark’s laughter made me lose it. Then Mark saw tears rolling down my eyes from laughing too hard so his laughter continued even harder.

When you starts to cry and can’t breathe because your laughing too hard, that’s when you know you’ve stumbled on one of the greatest moments of your life. It’s happened to me before where I’ve just about died laughing. It not something that happens everyday. I really treasure moments like those. Sharing laughter with the friends you love and the friends your loved by is one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever recieved from God.

Those moments I’ve shared with my friends will be what puts a smile on my face as I lay in my death bed. And waking up to see Jesus in front of me will be what puts a smile on my face for all eternity.

Despite all the hardships that come with this life, I love it.

What A day!!!

November 11, 2007

Today was a busy day. The only thing that could’ve made today more climactic would be if ninjas surrounded me from no where and I had to fight my way out. Luckily, it never came to that.

I woke up and went to a guys breakfast that we’re ( by we’re  I mean SacredWayCommunityChuch) going to do once a month. We’re going to go through this book called “What’s Jesus Demands From the World” by John Piper. It looks like it’s going to be a really cool study. I came to a realization not to long ago of what’s been eating away at my life. To be honest, at some point in my life, I became a great church goer. I was serving in the church, and going to services the whole time. I devoted so much time in the church. But in doing so, I tucked away Jesus. In all honesty, you don’t need Jesus to gather in a building, you don’t need Jesus to sing some songs. I became a great church goer and in doing so, I through away Jesus.  It really took a toll in my life gradualy. I’m really hoping to rediscover Jesus in this study we’re going to do. I’m not going to lie, I’m somewhat intimidated by this book.
John Piper don’t miss around.
I’m up for the chalenge. I’m going in to this knowing I have a group of guys I can be honest with and really just lean on. So again, I’m really excited for it. Besides, the worlds got enough church goers, but not enough Christ followers. In no way am I saying that going to church is wrong at all. But when one reduces his/her spiritual life to “yah, I go to church.” Then there’s definatley something lacking.

After that, a friend of mine named Bryan and I brainstormed ideas for a film we’d like to do. I told him one of my ideas and we really added a lot of detail to it and decided that we’re going to make this idea in to a short film. So, I’m really excited about that. I’d tell you my idea for the film, but then I’d have to kill you….

Later on, Javi and I met some guys to play some football. Oh man!!! Let me just say, I did a surprizingly, amazing job. I got two interceptions and I caught two deap passess that I scored touchdowns with.  I felt pretty good.

After that, I went to Tyson’s house for his graduation from the firefighter academy (at least I think it was an academy) he was in. Then we all went to our friend Kimmy’s birthday party. I went to starbucks after that. Everyone else went to another party after that and then to our friend Julie’s house to turn her house in to a huge fort. How you say? Well, that’s a good question.

But that was all too much for me. I was pretty content with starbucks. Well, that was my day. All in all, I have to say that I had an amazing day today.

I hope your day was amazing. If it wasn’t, just keep in mind that tomorrows a new day. Try and find the enjoyment in it all.
