Sweet Sunday Morning

August 26, 2007

Nate and I have these sporadic moments where we’ll try and meet really early in the morning. It’s one of those ideas where you’re okay with up until morning hits. Then we find out who will show up and who will get crap for a few days for being extremely late.

I enjoy waking up early. I can accomplish more things out of my day in doing so..

….like writing this blog.

But I feel really good this morning. Soon I’ll go up to church and help set up, and practice, and then do the show.

My college ministry started going through The Truth Project and it’s been really cool. I went to the conference a while back and it was really powerful. Seeing it again and being able to discuss what is taught has been really cool too.

Well, good morning to you if you are up on this Sunday morning.

School

August 26, 2007

I start school on Monday. I’m excited for it and at the same time, wish it wasn’t coming yet. I am looking forward to school for the fact that I’m taking three video classess this semester. It was originally four, but then it hit me, “what about math and english?” So I dropped one of them and picked up a math class and I’m on the waiting list for english.

My passion for video just grows. I constantly think of different opppurtunities to make videos so I could edit them. I can’t wait to by Final Cut Express. That will truley be a glorious day. So I’m excited about school.

The only problem I have is that my schedule is just jacked up. I didn’t exactly have a lot of options when it came to the video classess. I also feel like there’s a good amount on my plate as is and it’s only going to get even more cramped. I’m planning on being a part of a few extra activities this year that will probably consume the rest of my time.

The funny thing is, I don’t really mind it. Yeah, I like being able to set back and do nothing sometimes, but a part of me feels like there’s something I should be doing.

Besides, it’s about time I leave the sleeping for the night and the coffee for the day.

It’s been too long.

August 17, 2007

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything. I helped my friend Nate recently rearrange his room and clean out his closet. We found some neat stuff in there. A couple of those neat things happen to be two Garfield books By Jim Davis. One of those comic books actually had the three original comic books of Garfield in one. I took that one home. It is so funny it’s rediculous. The humor in it is just top notch. I’ve been reading it at the coffee shop I go to. I’ve also been reading Diary by Chuck Palunick. I’m also reading Ezekiel from the Bible. I’ve reading a lot of the Old Testament for a while now. I recently read Hosea and Lamentations and Daniel and Jeremiah. It’s been really cool. I use to have a bad perspective about the Old Testament. Then I just started reading it and I honostly love it. Hosea is definately one of my favorite books. Just the way it depicts this husband and wife relationship with God and His people is just so beautiful. Despite the fact that God’s people are like prostitutes, and are even called worse because prostitures do acts for some type of gift or money when God’s people were actaully giving gifts to their idols to curropt them, God still loves them. It really left me in awe. Well, I’m pretty tired and I’ll definately be writing more now. Sorry I wandered off.
